PE100 RC is a further development of PE100 and represents the most modern and advanced version of the PE100 material.

Compared to PE100, PE100 RC contains more binding molecules, making this innovative material more resistant, especially against slow crack growth caused by point loads. It is precisely this slow crack growth (SCG) that over time represents the greatest risk for a pressure pipe.

The table below illustrates the difference in requirement level between PE100 and PE100 RC. As can be seen, both the raw material and the finished pipe made of PE100 RC have greater requirements according to standard EN 12201. It is important to note that the tests are cancelled after the specified time frame in the requirement level and are thus only a minimum level.
