SESU-XL consists of a media pipe made of PE100 RC and a protective outer pipe made of PEHD, where the space between the two pipes is filled with mineral fractions. The fractions are made of the green-coloured mineral olivine and are locked between the outer and inner pipe by a specially designed seal at each end. The load rate is determined by the dimension of the outer pipe and the size of the space between outer and inner pipes. The pipe ends consist of standard pipes, which means that standard welding equipment can be used for both pipe types.
Long service life
The weighting is produced under controlled conditions in the factory around and along the entire pipe. This results in a non-corrosive design where all materials will have the same or longer service life than the media pipe itself. In most cases, it provides a life expectancy of at least 100 years. The built-in weighting also provides increased protection against external damage from fishing and anchors.
Hallingplast SESU – for smaller dimensions
Hallingplast SESU is available in dimensions 32–315 mm for water and sewage underwater pipelines where smaller dimensions are required. This pipe has a pre-weighted homogeneous jacket with the same density as concrete.
Hallingplast SESU CABLE – underwater pipeline for cable
Hallingplast SESU CABLE (“Self-Submerging PE pipe”) is a cable protection pipe for laying cable and fibre optic cable through seas and lakes, and is also suitable for landfalls.
Benefits of Hallingplast SESU-XL:
