Hallingplast pipes intended for district cooling are made of PE100 RC. This is the most modern PE100 material on the market and offers increased possibilities for a longer service life compared to PE100. As the PE100 RC is more resistant to point loads, existing backfill soil can be used to a greater extent if necessary. In the support pack zone, however, we recommend that you always use fractions according to national guidelines.

Flexible and weldable
Pressure pipes made of PE100 RC are flexible and weldable. It provides a system that can better cope with ground subsidence and has the best conditions to fulfil its function even in the event of various types of external influences such as floods, landslides or earthquakes.

Complete systems
Hallingplast supplies PE pipes for the vast majority of applications. With a complete system of high-quality pipes and fittings, you can consolidate all product responsibility from a single supplier. This can be a great advantage when it comes to guarantees and liability.

Benefits of pressure pipes made of PE100 RC:

  • Can be installed in trenches with a larger proportion of recycled filling material. In the so-called support pack zone, we recommended that you always use fractions according to national guidelines (<65 mm fraction or <0.5 times the outside diameter of the pipe if the latter is smaller)
  • Provides extra security for the pipeline owner

Hallingplast has several types of pressure pipes adapted for district cooling
The most common is standard pressure pipes made of PE100 RC, but other pressure pipes such as Hallingplast JAPI with an extra-high-strength jacket are also suitable for use in district cooling.
