Health, environment, safety and quality

Environment

Through the right choice of raw materials, manufacturing methods and waste minimisation, Hallingplast is committed to ensuring that the company’s operations are environmentally responsible and that we do not pollute nature and the environment. We do this in the following ways:

  • Investment in a plastic recycling facility for the recycling of our plastic waste.
  • Use of 100% locally produced renewable energy.
  • Heating of our premises in Kleivi using district heating from a local incineration plant and heat recovery from our own production.
  • Development of renewable materials that can be integrated into our current and future products.
  • New state-of-the-art production equipment that has significantly reduced the number of truck accidents.
  • Active promotion of no-dig installation methods, which reduce CO2 emissions from internal soil transport, and installation techniques that have less impact on the local environment where the installation takes place.
  • All materials that can be recycled are sorted for collection by a local recycling facility. All waste is collected and recorded for follow-up to minimise waste.
  • Compliance with the requirements that the authorities place on us as a company.
  • Dedicated charging station for employees’ electric cars.

Health and safety

Our most important health and safety objectives are to conduct our business in such a way that:

  • We do not have any personal injuries or work-related illnesses or problems.
  • We ensure that all employees have the training, tools, personal protective equipment and information they need to perform their work in a healthy and safe manner.
  • At the very least, we meet the requirements that the authorities place on us as a company.

We will achieve this by actively and systematically working for a good and safe working environment.

We are certified according to ISO 9001. Our quality objectives are as follows:
